Everything you need to know about OpenJarvis and Relay.

OpenJarvis is a private AI operator platform. It's built on OpenClaw, the open-source AI assistant framework with 310K+ GitHub stars. We provide a branded, polished experience called Relay that runs on your infrastructure and connects to your existing tools.

Relay is the app interface to OpenJarvis. It's where you interact with your private AI operator — sending tasks, reviewing results, and managing your workspace. Think of OpenJarvis as the platform and Relay as the product you use daily.

ChatGPT and Claude are conversational AI tools. Relay is an operator — it connects to your real tools (inbox, calendar, messaging apps) and delivers finished work, not just responses. It runs on your infrastructure, so your data stays private. And it's always on, working in the background.

For the Founding Install and Design Partner plans, we handle the setup for you. You'll need a server (we recommend a small Linux VPS like a $20/month DigitalOcean droplet) and API keys for your preferred AI model provider. We guide you through everything in a 1-on-1 onboarding session.

On your infrastructure. OpenJarvis is self-hosted. Your messages, files, workspace data, and conversation history never leave your machine unless you explicitly configure external integrations. This is a core design principle, not a feature toggle.

Any model available through OpenRouter, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or other OpenAI-compatible providers. You bring your own API keys and choose your preferred model. The system supports model failover and rotation out of the box.

WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack, Discord, Google Chat, Signal, iMessage (via BlueBubbles), IRC, Microsoft Teams, Matrix, and many more. You can use any combination of channels simultaneously.

Skills are pre-built workflows that Relay can execute. Every install ships with six: inbox-triage, calendar-copilot, founder-followups, research-brief, doc-polish, and meeting-prep. Each is opinionated, practical, and ready to use from day one.

Yes. Skills are just markdown files with instructions. You can create new skills by adding SKILL.md files to your workspace. Design Partners get custom skill development as part of their plan.

Founding Install ($299 setup + $490/year) includes guided onboarding and priority support. Monthly ($49/mo) is self-serve. Design Partner ($1,500 upfront + $149/mo) includes custom skill development, a direct Slack channel, and roadmap influence.

Monthly plans can be cancelled anytime. Annual plans are billed yearly. Since the software runs on your infrastructure, you retain full access to your instance and data regardless of subscription status.

The underlying engine (OpenClaw) is MIT-licensed and fully open source. OpenJarvis adds a branded experience, curated skills, onboarding, and support on top. You always have the option to run vanilla OpenClaw directly.

Choose a plan on the pricing page and fill out the intake form. For Founding Install and Design Partner plans, we'll schedule an onboarding session within 48 hours. For monthly plans, you'll receive setup documentation immediately.
